Freelancers handle their own taxes and expenses, which requires careful financial planning. Company employees have less administrative work, allowing more focus on development. In my experience, I have both worked at large corporations, startups, and freelanced. Low level skill development as a free lancer FAR OUTPACES development in either of the other realms.
