In a professional setting, your worth is based on the work you do rather than your personal inclinations and lifestyle. It's essential to separate the personal from the professional. Therefore, when we are given constructive criticism on our content, the boundary between personal and professional should not be blurred in our mind. Every person has a unique perspective, which is unlike anything you can bring to the table. By taking their insight into consideration, you are growing as a content in your own right.

If the feedback is unclear or you need more context, don’t hesitate to ask questions. Seek specific examples or suggestions for improvement to better understand how to apply the feedback.

Sometimes the client you are working with has a difficulty putting his vision into words. In order to facilitate this collaborative process, you are required to ask the right questions. For instances, while working on research articles for my client, I would explain my process and the resources I would be needing from them. They would provide me with rubrics to format my article accordingly. However, sometimes the work was not up to their mark. I would refer them back to the rubrics and they would make the necessary adjustments to it. If you make your position clear in the beginning, any feedback can be dealt with in an appropiate manner.
