How do you manage your time and resources when working on responsive user interface design projects?

Scope creep will often happen anyways. So something that helps is to focus primarily on the key points scoped out and not get too distracted by 'new' additions. Furthermore, setting personal deadlines also helps determining out a good pace at which delivery time and quality are in good balance.

Back in the day, the life of a designer was more challenging. Using Axure, I demonstrated complex interactions and dynamic interfaces. Sketch aided in UI design, Zeplin facilitated handoff, and inVision enabled interactive prototypes. For more complex animations, I turned to Framer. Figma revolutionized the design process by consolidating everything into one tool. With Figma, we have access to wireframing templates and a range of plugins that make animations more accessible. Figma's collaborative features also allow for seamless design sharing with engineers, ensuring efficient communication and successful implementation. Notably, Figma's plugin ecosystem includes a plugin called "Builder," which aspires to generate designs with AI.

Getting to code as early as possible is key, rather than mimicking responsive with design based tools. UX/UI work that isn't contributing to the actual final product is disposable, as it has to be recreated by a frontend developer. If as a designer you lack dev skills, its best to work with a low/no code solution that lets you prototype realistically and/or work iteratively with a developer, rather than attempting to refine and receive sign off on design and interaction before doing the "handoff". Anything you can do to mitigate handoff, and the gap between design and development, will contribute to success.

The best thing you can do while designing responsive UIs is to test and review them. And for that, you can use different browsers or different screen sizes. This will give you an idea of where your product is lagging or where it needs improvement in terms of responsiveness.
