Ah, the age-old question. Oftentimes, I find that whenever we reach the stage nearing the end of the conception phase when designing a product, when all is said and done and we still arrive at an impasse - it all boils down to this question - do the target users really need it? Do we really need 10 of these features or would 5 be enough? Would users even feel the difference between x amount of torque versus something slightly lower than that? Do they need it this certain way, or would a slightly different angle work the same? It all goes back to empathy (easier said than done!)

In industrial design, the balance between creativity and functionality comes from integrating both from the very beginning of the process. Innovating with purpose, while keeping usability as a priority, ensures that the final product not only impresses, but also effectively solves real problems.
