As someone with over 10 years of experience in the IT industry, it’s crucial to involve your IT team, including solution architects and managers, for a broader perspective on software, hardware, and networks. Additionally, engage your security team, who focus on security. If possible, collaborate with technology vendors or engage them to gain more expertise and insights in risk management strategies/plan ensuring alignment and accountability for security measures.

For me, this simply involves informing your customers ahead of time that there'll be operational enhancements to your site or app. I personally wouldn't do more, but it's possible that I could send out another notification when the enhancement is done to notify the customers of the status update.
