I always prepare a detailed presentation outlining milestones, deadlines, and progress measurement criteria. Making feedback constructive, for my style of managing, requires understanding and consistently checking in on my report's life outside the office. That's harder to do remotely when people can more easily hide health problems, family demands, and other sources of stress, so it's crucial to ask proactively. Set time for casual/big-picture 1:1s and team meetings, and use what you learn to better understand where your report may be struggling with time and resources, so you can work together toward realistic solutions.

Technology can facilitate timely and effective feedback for employees, crucial for their professional growth, especially in the manufacturing sector. For instance, using performance monitoring software, managers can track an employee's output and quality metrics in real-time. If an employee efficiency drops, the system can alert both the employee and their supervisor. They can then review data together, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted training plans. This approach ensures that feedback is specific, actionable, and immediate, aiding continuous professional development.

Make time to celebrate small wins. A project completion, complex assignment closure, invitation to a conference, presenting a white paper and many more. Harness the positivity that this brings in to achieve the larger goals.

Boosting morale and motivation is KEY in when working with a virtual team. I'd make sure to recognize and highlight the achievements of my members through the general slack channel or by email to foster a culture of appreciation and reinforces positive behavior. Helped a lot with team cohesion too.
