However, I see many find it difficult to understand the urgency/importance until they know the bigger picture (High-level goal). Additionally, we must be flexible enough to adapt to the change in priority as the business complexity often changes fast.

Set clear goals, avoid multi-tasking. stick to no-deviation from your motive. setup priority for important emails, chats or other official communication.

Meetings are nowadays held for even smallest of things and they block ones calendar effectively. If you want to make sure you’re attending meetings worth your while… - demand agenda - ask what is expected out of you and why? - are all relevant stakeholders there?( so that you are not waiting for someones opinion/decision still) Those should kill useless meetings?

Be mindful whenever you are invited to a meeting if your attendance is really needed. We have the 3 meeting rule. If you are invited to a meeting for 3 times where you dont provide/get any value, you can just skip them for the future.

Also, leaving enough time between the meetings has a big impact to your stress levels and productivity. If you're constantly having a meeting after another (non-stop or skippings lunch, breaks, etc.), you need to stop and get your priorities right.

Write down in a piece of paper what you need to get done. Make it a bullet list. That bullet list must have things on it that you can actually achieve in a relatively short period of time. Once you get an item done, cross it out. Once you complete a whole page and have crossed all the items out, grant yourself the happy moment of tearing the paper apart with your hands and then, please! recycle it. You'd be surprised the amount of things you actually get done and how much of a reward to your brain that is!
