Put on a good impression and leave them with a solid performance. You never know who's going to be watching and listening. If you can, try to work with the organizer to attract an ideal audience for potential future opportunities. One of the pro-bono gigs I did landed me a TV ad role. I guess that's public speaking - just through a television to an audience you can't hear....?
