Data quality and quantity is the biggest challenge when applying artificial intelligence. Like in any tool poor data quality leads to poor outcomes. Data scientists and machine learning engineers spend usually 80% of their time in data gathering, processing and cleaning and about 20% on modelling.

Data quality is the reason why most AI Models end up not providing reliable outputs making them useless business wise. Before you attempt to build something with a model ask yourself: 1/ Volume of data: Do I have enough data to do this? 2/ Richness: How diverse is my data? Does it cover different use cases? For example to generate photos of people you need enough images from all age groups, skin colors etc. 3/ Accuracy: Is the data you are using user-generated? How much can you trust that data?

Does too much freedom to explore AI functionality introduce load risk or output risk? If so, how do we mitigate it?' Early on, we found best success with controlling the inputs (types of actions) and outputs (governed by back-end prompt engineering).
