This is especially true for juniors who often don't present or defend their ideas, don’t know what’s happening, and frequently don’t receive credit. At the very least, they deserve a congratulations. These words motivate them to keep striving, despite changes, discarded presentations, and lost pitches. Recognition from colleagues sparks the fire to keep going. Let's always celebrate good ideas, even those that end up in the drawer.

Don't take it as a failure. Take it as a feedback to improve. Your data and creatives always tells you a story of why it is failing and how you can improve in the future. Read it by diving more in depth into analyzing the details. Have a look at what is captivating the audience, length of videos or attention span. These will serve as a guide for you to be more successful in the future.

Screenwriters often say: scripts are not written, they are rewritten. And I can not agree more. I think 2% of the process is inspiration. But without the other 98% of perspiration, revision, trial and error, learning and discovering the subject and redefining the characters over and over again, there is no story. Just a draft in the drawer.

As important as actual collaboration is, the spirit of collaboration is likely more important: it sets the tone for how you communicate with clients, partners, and even competitors. This can't be under-stated - there is tremendous potential value in having good relations with competitors so, if there is an issue that needs to be solved a t the industry level, you can align more readily. Your communication, and your rules of engagement, should reflect the spirit that one day you may (need to) collaborate. In terms of your demeanour and communication: you can always tell someone to get lost tomorrow. Do well to remember this!

During the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, Elon Musk said that creative jobs could soon be done by AI. I don't see it as a threat; I see it as a challenge to do better. We need to adapt to a constantly changing world. Advertising will always be about good ideas. It doesn’t matter who or where these ideas come from. What’s relevant is the team that makes them possible. The team that believes in them, has the courage to sell them, takes the risk to approve them, and the incredible professionals who bring them to life. At Cannes, I still heard some "I create" in certain talks. This mindset must change; the future belongs to the "we." Don't be afraid of technology; be afraid of those who don’t believe good work comes from a team.

Advertising has changed four times in a decade. There was pre tiktok era then tiktok era then there's less formal era. What I'm trying to say is, marketing/advertising changes with time so you should always be prepared for a change.
