    Friends and supporters…what a day today! We have just arrived home after a truly remarkable, touching and meaningful groundbreaking ceremony for Dani’s Place Mental Health Rehabilitation Center - a post-hospitalization residential treament facility that will truly save lives and help so many people and families for years and years to come. This is a project that is truly a dream come true for 33 Forever and our Board. It is exactly what Dani needed during her life and thousands of others leaving an inpatient mental health hospital stay desperately need as the next step in their journeys to be able to live their best lives despite the diseases they fight. We are more than humbled to be just a small part of this project and that is bears Dani’s name is nothing short of overwhelming. Thanks to so many who have supported us so we have been able to lend our support to this state of the art, prototype facility. We will leave too many out if we try to name them but every single one of you who has donated $1, $33 or $33,000 - you have helped make this collaboration a reality. To the movers and shakers that have really made this life-saving facility a reality, thank you for your incredible work and the work to come and for allowing Dani’s story to be a part of your amazing vision.     BIGGEST NEWS OF OUR OUR PAST 5 YEARS & 4 MONTHS DANI’s PLACE MENTAL HEALTH REHABILITATION CENTER Ground breaking ceremony next Monday in Toledo Ohio! We are so all incredibly excited and wanted to share the news! We will obviously share pictures, etc. after Monday’s event, but truly, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all the love and support you have given us these past five years. This is a dream come true for Dani’s family and a life-saving home for so many in the years to come.     As the calendar turns to a new year, we are truly humbled and astonished. How can it be nearly five years since we lost Dani and started 33 Forever? And yet, wasn’t it just yesterday she was planning a platform for suicide prevention? There have been so many tears and changes in our life and, hopefully, many lives have been changed for the good. Although the pain in our family will never ever end, it changes constantly and we must learn to grab each moment as it comes. Friends, we know first hand, this life can change in the blink of an eye. Treasure each day. We didn’t have a clue what this organization would develop into when we started in February of 2019. All we know is that over and over we feel Dani is in heaven moving the “chess pieces” around to place people and opportunities in our life for better suicide awareness, education, advocacy and resources making mental health topics the norm. And 2024 will not disappoint we are sure of that. As we have said before if you have been helped in some way by 33 Forever, our mission is fulfilled. If you have resonated with a post and shared it, our mission is fulfilled. If you have volunteered, shared stories, attended any of our speaking or fundraising events, our mission is fulfilled. If you have directed someone to our social media, contacted any of us associated with 33 Forever to help someone you know, joined us on “Sparking the Conversation” or asked us to speak, our mission is fulfilled. We never know what the upcoming new year will bring, but we do know that we can’t stop spreading the message of Dani’s Story and of hope. We are in the midst of the worst mental health crisis of all times: “From the National Survey on Drug Use and Health: Suicide is the second-highest cause of death for people between 10 and 34.” We have to keep fighting. Keep sharing Dani’s Story. And keep reaching out because losing a loved one to suicide is like no other loss. There are too many unanswered questions. Suicide imprints too many visuals that can’t be unseen. Suicide haunts too many dreams of what could have been. Suicide torments too many lives left behind. Suicides trauma never relents. Although our “mission is fulfilled,” it will never be complete. Please continue to stand with us and any and every other organization that fights to end suicide. When we reach zero suicides…we can rest. Until then, we will share Dani’s Story in one way or another. On behalf of all of us at 33 Forever, never forget YOU MATTER to us. Your voice may be the voice that keeps someone here tomorrow. Please keep fighting, staying strong, and when you can’t we will. You’ve done incredibly well for your entire life until today. You’ve fought your hardest battles and are still here. Thank you for that.
