The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today that, for the first time in its more than 50-year history, this year's Student Academy Awards ceremony will be held in London.

Congratulations to this year's Student Academy Awards finalists! Out of 2,683 submissions, 28 finalists were chosen.

From Eastman Kodak’s first digital camera (1979) to the Bit List’s first report on endangered digital content (2017), the field of Digital Preservation has come a long way, even as it continues to evolve. Producer Janet Yang has been re-elected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Board of Governors to continue serving as president for a third term. The Board has also named its officers for 2024-2025: Lesley Barber, DeVon Franklin, Donna Gigliotti, Lynette Howell Taylor and Howard A. Rodman.
