Earlier this month, residents from our Great Neck and Healy homes made the trip to the Meadowlands for a preseason game with the New York Jets vs. Washington Commanders! Thanks to a generous donation from Larry and Lori Spiegel, the residents and staff got to enjoy the game with seats on the 50-yard line, had access to the MetLife 50 Club, and even had the chance to be on the sidelines during the game! In ACLD's Prevocational Program, individuals utilize daily tasks boxes, which help them work on important tools like following multiple steps, taking directions and focusing on the task at hand to complete tasks in a timely manner. Our Prevoc participants love the variety of different activities to choose from and the ability to work independently for some tasks and as a team for others.
