In Orlando, Florida, 300 associates attending an Airgas conference participated in a meal packaging event with Rise Against Hunger. This organization works to end hunger in communities across the world. Within one hour, the volunteers surpassed the original goal of packing 25,000 meals and were able to organize and package 27,000 meals for people in need in Haiti. Way to go! #CitizenatWork

Congratulations to our associates in Sulphur, Louisiana for being named as one of two National Cylinder Plants of the Year! Our team of Airgas associates from the North Division, Great Lakes Region, Cash Application Department and Airgas Merchant Gases once again competed in the Cleveland Corporate Challenge this summer! The Corporate Challenge brings companies together to participate in a variety of sporting events including softball, kickball, running, pickleball and tug of war. Team Airgas finished in 3rd place overall in Division 4 this year, and won first place in three separate events: Pickleball, the 10k relay and Tug of War (for the 7th year in a row!) The Cleveland Corporate Challenge/Hermes Road Racing will be making a donation to Airgas’ charity of choice - Sub Zero Mission in Painesville, Ohio. Three Airgas associates from the South Region volunteered at Turtlepalooza, an event organized with the Miami Dade County Park Sea Turtle Conservation Program. Volunteers removed marine debris from the shoreline, including microplastics that pollute our oceans and harm marine life, such as the endangered sea turtles.
