We are proud to recognize the invaluable support of JPMorganChase during this year’s Summer Intensive program. Over the course of three weeks, our students worked tirelessly to develop their Capstone Projects, and thanks to the generosity of JPMorganChase, a select group had the unique opportunity to present their projects in person at the company's offices in Jersey City, Dallas, and Houston. These presentations were more than just a showcase of technical skills; they were a testament to the growth and potential of our Scholars, who have taken significant strides forward in their tech journeys. As tech Trailblazers, they were the first to complete our new three-week Summer Intensive sprint program model, paving the way for future cohorts. We are especially grateful for JPMorganChase’s active involvement by providing employees for our volunteer program. Their support extended beyond hosting our Scholars, as they also provided guest speakers for our panel sessions, offering invaluable insights and showing our Scholars what is possible with the skills they are learning in our program. What an amazing All Star Code Demo Day hosted by ServiceNow that we witnessed last week! The breathtaking views of New York City from their Hudson Yards office set the stage as our Scholars took the spotlight to present their final projects. These young men showcased the skills they have developed over the past six weeks through All Star Code's Summer Intensive Program. Our Scholars received over 100 hours of comprehensive training in: • JavaScript • Web Design & Development • APIs & Databases • Entrepreneurial Training • Professional Development These Scholars proudly presented their final projects, demonstrating their technical abilities, creativity, and resilience. Some standout projects included: Wave Zero 🌊—A mission to restore our oceans to their pristine state by tracking plastic pollution on beaches and providing real-time weather and air quality data. JIPfinder 🔍—A web app that bridges the gap between talent and opportunity, matching users with jobs, internships, and programs based on their skills. Lumina 🌡️💊—An AI digital medical assistant providing real-time information on medications, environmental factors, and users' current symptoms, empowering them to take charge of their health. PrepPal 📚—An innovative platform designed to level the playing field for SAT preparation, ensuring that students from all backgrounds have access to free resources they will need to succeed on the test. FluentEase 🌍🗣️—A web app to help overcome language barriers for non-English speakers with tools for translation, vocabulary building, and pronunciation, making language learning accessible and effective. TechFinding 💻—A platform connecting underrepresented individuals with resources, mentors, and opportunities in tech, fostering innovation and growth in the industry. Last week, our Executive Director Danny Rojas had the honor of participating in an insightful panel discussion hosted by Etsy and Techqueria at Etsy Headquarters in NYC. The event, "Solo la Verdad: Authenticity within the Workplace," focused on the importance of bringing our true selves to work, particularly within the Latiné community. We are incredibly proud to cap off Cycle 1 of the three-week sprint of our Summer Intensive program with a special shoutout to all our students who presented their Capstone Projects today. A select few had the opportunity to present in person at the JPMorgan Chase offices in Jersey City, Dallas, and Houston, showcasing their growth and potential in the tech industry. Congratulations to all the students who have become Scholars and taken a significant step forward in their tech journeys. The day started with a warm welcome and breakfast, followed by insightful welcome remarks from senior JPMC staff. Students then engaged in post-SI assessments, presentation prep, and the highly anticipated Capstone Project Presentations. The afternoon featured a panel discussion with SEP experts, a meet and greet with CareerWise students, and concluded with a delightful ice cream social. A heartfelt thank you to the parents for their unwavering support and for trusting us with their sons this summer and to our Executive Director Danny Rojas for participating in this milestone in our Scholars’ journeys.
