So grateful for a week full of relationship and narrative building with organizers and communicators from across California. We came together for the launch of the MVP Echos Academy, a narrative power program to advance narrative change from the ground up. I can’t wait for what’s to come in the coming months! Thank you to This Is ReFrame for being part of the group organizing this effort and to Alliance San Diego for the opportunity to level up my skills!

At ASD, we aim to develop leaders. It is the core of all programmatic work. Cultivating the skill and courage to be leaderful shapes future generations and sustains all movements for change. We are inspired by Sho and Ivanna's passion and energy, and the impact they have already made in our #SanDiego communities! #NationalVolunteerMonth #volunteers #volunteermonth #grassrootsorganizing

A huge thank you to our #SanDiego community for joining us at our first Think Table of the year. The evening was full of conversation, art, and hope. Community members joined Alliance San Diego board members Dr. LaWana Richmond, Maribel McKinze, and Norma Cazares who discussed their personal journeys elevating their dignity and learning about human rights. This fruitful conversation was followed by a hands-on art module led by artist-in-residence Anthony Sigala, where everyone had the opportunity to express their thoughts and emotions through art. We're looking forward to many more events like this in 2024 where our community can come together to share their thoughts and create together in safe and healing spaces. #ThinkTable #StartWithDignity #communityconversations #EmpiezaConDignidad #communityart #healingspace #stopthehate #sandiegoart #sdart #sandiegolife #sdartsculture #FarSouthBorderNorth

#ICYMI: We are so grateful to have participated in the Aspen Challenge - Aspen Institute, a challenge in which high school students design solutions to problems happening in their communities. Our Executive Director Andrea Guerrero challenged the high schoolers to "center migrant and immigrant populations by creating a program aimed at educating your community on human rights and promoting human dignity, regardless of immigration status." Thank you to the The Aspen Institute for inviting ASD to be a part of their work to develop tomorrow's leaders and decision-makers.
