The third annual Celebrating Women in Games event, hosted by Amazon Games, Amazon Web Services (AWS), DoiT and Women in Games International (WIGI) helped kick off Gamescom 2024 in style this week. Highlighting the valuable contributions of women and femme-identifying individuals in the gaming industry, the event featured a panel discussion moderated by Joanie Kraut, CEO of WIGI, with successful leaders sharing their experiences and insights. It was followed by a networking reception, providing an opportunity to connect with others passionate about fostering a more inclusive gaming community. We kicked off Gamescom 2024 today with a big announcement: King of Meat, a hacking, slashing online co-op spectacle for one through four players, developed by the team at Glowmade and coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Nintendo Switch.
