American Tower is committed to environmental stewardship, continuously seeking solutions to reduce our ecological footprint and contribute positively to the environment. - We protect migratory birds through awareness programs and by educating our field teams on best practices to avoid disruptions during nesting seasons - We reduce land use change and the consumption of natural resources through our shared infrastructure model, while also supporting reforestation efforts in local communities. - We promote responsible waste management practices, focusing on minimizing waste generation, encouraging recycling, and ensuring the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. At American Tower, we are dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact and operating sustainably. We implement a three-pronged strategy to reduce GHG emissions, focusing on energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy procurement and on-site generation, and advanced energy storage solutions. In 2023, we achieved an almost 12% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2019.
