At A.M. Leonard, we've had the honor of working with many incredible individuals in the horticultural industry who go above and beyond to make a positive impact. Today, we're shining a spotlight on Michael Strasburger and Rodney Rulon. They recently hosted the 'Soil Health and Sustainability for Midwestern Field Staff', a 3-day soil health training offered by CCSI. This training is a requirement for anyone seeking a Conservation Planner certification from USDA-NRC. Strasburger and Rulon shared their knowledge and experience with the training attendees without expecting any compensation. The Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative (CCSI) is a program of the Indiana Conservation Partnership. CCSI's mission is to enhance soil health on Indiana cropland through outreach, education, and providing tools for partners working with farmers and landowners. To commemorate their dedication, CCSI ordered 6 of the King Of Spades Spades with footpads from AM Leonard and got a company to engrave "CCSI: Improving Soil Health on Indiana Cropland" on the handle. Both of the inaugural shovel presentations were met with huge smiles and thanks—a small token of thanks for what these farmers have done to promote regenerative ag.

🌟 Introducing Alicia Heitkamp, one of our stellar A.M. Leonard merchandisers! With five years under her belt at A.M. Leonard, Alicia thrives on the camaraderie with her coworkers, the cross-departmental collaboration, and the opportunity to explore various industry sectors, constantly soaking up new knowledge and experiences. But what makes A.M. Leonard so great to her is the family atmosphere of our workplace. Alicia's fondest memory was when a coworker startled Greg Stephens in a ghillie suit during birthday festivities! She also wanted to shout out to her colleague David for his daily dose of dad jokes and music trivia. Alicia is involved in the company; she is the coordinator behind all the epic food truck Fridays this year and serves on our events committee. Off the clock, Alicia's passions include gardening, getting lost in a good book, taking her two dogs out on hikes, and, currently, she is working on fixing up her house. Alicia's husband, Dylan, keeps life lively and full of adventure. Something you may not have known about Alicia is that she can play a few different musical instruments. Alicia, your dedication and hard work don't go unnoticed. We're truly fortunate to have you on the team. Thank you for all that you do here at A.M. Leonard!
