Fun first tonight! Went to my client’s pickleball court that needed variances for the preferred side yard location on a corner lot & structural elements (net poles, lights, retaining walls) at the residential property. What a fantastic job by Liban Landscape and Premier Turf & Greens! Now, it was not actually my first time playing pickleball as we played it during phy ed years ago at Tosa East. But as I often enjoy checking out our Amundsen Davis, LLC client projects after they are built, it was my first pickleball project approval so that's why tonight's volleys were a first. Just add it to the list that includes throwing axes🪓, using drive-thrus, enjoying the menu options after a high-speed ferry was issued its liquor license🍸, shopping at retail stores, filling up with gas⛽️, and visiting restaurants, car washes, & coffee shops☕️. Employers: While the FTC rule banning non-competes is now dead due this nationwide injunction issued by a Texas federal judge, this issue is not going away. Many state legislatures have passed legislation (or are taking up bills) limiting the permitted scope of these agreements. Take this time to make sure that your existing (and planned) non-compete agreements are compliant and enforceable.
