My non-profit, InnovateHer, is giving away 𝟮 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟-𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 (registration, travel, lodging, etc) to GHC24! NO, this is not clickbait and YES, this is what I’ve been hinting at and teeing up in all of my previous posts. 😆 This will be my first major initiative with my nonprofit and this is why I wanted to do it ~ Conferences can be incredibly impactful on one’s career. I should know, I walked away from GHC23 with a six-figure full-time job offer from a Fortune 100 company. These sorts of opportunities can be LIFE-CHANGING. But, at the same time, they can be incredibly overwhelming and inaccessible. Tickets typically have a high price tag and are often unaffordable, especially to students. Given my own experience with GHC, I wanted my first big initiative with InnovateHer to be something that could help us really make progress in one of InnovateHer’s highest priority objectives ~ closing the gender gap in the tech industry and getting more women into tech jobs. This initiative would not have been possible without the support of InnovateHer’s incredible Platinum donor, Tom Jones. 👋 Hello Connections! 🎉 I'm thrilled to announce that as an AnitaB.org volunteer, I'll be attending the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) 2024 - the largest gathering celebrating women in tech 👩💻 and supporting diversity and inclusion. As a recent graduate and woman in STEM, I'm excited to be part of an event that empowers underrepresented groups in our field.
