Arc is an award-winning, nationally recognized after school and experiential education provider in southern California. We bridge the opportunity gap by creating transformational learning opportunities that empower youth to realize their full potential. Arc is proud to offer a variety of programs for K-12 youth, as well as college-aged students and working professionals. The services we provide range from after school comprehensive programs to leadership development retreats featuring adventure activities. In each of our programs, we place an emphasis on experiential learning, life skills acquisition and team building, as well as engagement with the natural world and the local community.

Our LAUSD High School team had an amazing experience at California School-Age Consortium (CalSAC)'s "Leading After School Programs" training. It covered "Knowing Yourself as a Leader," "Your Leadership Style," and "Building Leaders," while inspiring laughs and deeper team connections. Special thanks to CalSAC Trainer Maia Akiva for her impactful leadership. Shout out to our own Jour 'Dan Peters and Carmen Alvarez Esparza are currently CalSAC apprentice trainers, soon to be certified themselves! 👏

Here are some highlights from our Summer Bridge program at Alliance Tennenbaum Family Technology High School! Yesterday our students flew drones, made vision boards and heard from the schools vice principals and their counselor. They also made friends! Now when they arrive on that first day, there will be some friendly faces.
Look at our advocates in training! Arc took LAUSD high school students to Washington D.C. for the Close Up conference. They met with US Representative Maxine Waters and with representatives for Senators Alex Padilla and Laphonza Bulter and learned about making change through advocacy. Our students connected with like minded students from Oregon and New York. It was an incredible experience for staff and students alike!

I have officially completed my Human Resource Management Certification through UCSD! I am very grateful for my company, Arc After School & Experiential Education, and manager, Alma Garibay MBA for introducing me to this program and supporting me in completion this certification. I am very excited for what the future holds in my career in HR!
