Today we wish Kimmie Harris a very happy 11 years with Arrowhead! Kimmie keeps everyone smiling, laughing, and staying on track in the office. She's a master of anything and everything she puts her mind to. It's truly a joy to have her around, and we are grateful for everything she does and for who she is.

What a fun surprise we had at our Iowa office this morning when the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) bicyclists rode right past our front door! This ride is an eight-day festival of bicycles, music, food, camaraderie, and community. Several of the Iowa office personnel and their families are involved in the festivities by donating time to raise money for local charities and/or by participating in the ride. RAGBRAI is in its 51st year under the concept of stimulating small town Iowa’s economy. In 2022 RAGBRAI reported a $25M economic impact for Iowa communities. In 2023, 50,000 bike riders came from across the country and the world to ride across Iowa. Fun fact: it is the oldest, largest, and longest multi-day bicycle touring event in the world. We are proud that Lily Armstrong and Josh Phillips are such significant figures of the Arrowhead team, not only in their countless professional contributions but also in the way their good-heartedness and ability to connect with others have helped shape the Arrowhead identity the past 22 years. Thank you both so much for the ways you serve our company and its people.

Arrowhead Project Manager Kreg Holt recently spoke at the EPA Superfund Job Training Initiative (SuperJTI) Program graduation for the Tri-State Mining District in Joplin, MO. EPA R7 Remedial Project Manager Liz Blackburn said, “The input and remarks that were provided on behalf of KEMRON-Arrowhead were very well received and received positive feedback from EPA Region 7’s Regional Administrator, the media, and the local community.” We are grateful for Kreg’s informative perspective on working with Superfund projects, and we wish all program graduates great success in their next chapter. We are excited to announce that KEMRON-Arrowhead JV (KAJV), a joint venture between Arrowhead and KEMRON Environmental Services, was selected through a competitive procurement for award of the Cherokee County Superfund Site Remediation of OU3 and OU7 Residential Soils project.

Arrowhead finished up this round of conference season at the Society of American Military Engineers Greater Kansas City Post Industry Day! It was wonderful to welcome others in the industry to our home city and to get and stay connected.

Arrowhead attended the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Small Business Forum and Expo for the first time ever this week! We made countless valuable connections and are looking forward to all of the potential opportunities ahead!
