Ashland has successfully opened our viatel™ bioresorbable polymers manufacturing and R&D laboratory in Mullingar, Ireland. This cutting-edge facility represents a significant milestone for our company while expanding the footprint, capabilities and workforce to accelerate the delivery of innovative polymer chemistry and meet growing customer demand in the pharmaceutical, tissue engineering and medical device markets. Ashland supplies over 70 GMP grades of lactide/glycolide/caprolactone copolymers within its growing viatel™ portfolio and offers custom-made and ultrapure polymer production options. Recently, Ashland hosted an event for customers and local dignitaries which included a ribbon cutting, presentations, lab tours and a celebratory dinner. Ashland has again collaborated with Jacqueline ("Jackie") Means, The STEM Queen, and recently sponsored a field trip to Washington, D.C. for her Girls Empowerment STEM Initiative.
