TREO Foundation’s virtual National Walk from Obesity Day returns on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The virtual Walk provides an opportunity for ASMBS members nationwide to raise awareness of the disease of obesity and the need for access to safe and effective treatment options. Registration is FREE, and "walking" is done by posting a photo or video on social media with the tag #NationalWFODay. Participants may also start a walk team and ask others to join! Fundraising is optional, and participants who raise $100 will receive a WFO shirt and bag by mail. The Obesity Care Advocacy Network is supportive of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee’s efforts to take the next step to support access to care for obesity treatments for Medicare beneficiaries.
