We're also working towards a Xeriscape certification, so our outdoor landscaping focuses on using native plants that require minimal water and energy. Spending time in nature offers a wealth of benefits for our physical, mental, and emotional health. Research indicates that immersing ourselves in the outdoors for at least 120 minutes per week can significantly boost well-being. To harness these advantages, Atlantic Wellness challenged employees to embrace the great outdoors for a minimum of 120 minutes weekly throughout July. We shared the fun and inspiration through photos and videos, fostering a collective commitment to nature. Moreover, a deep connection to nature often inspires us to protect it. Preventative health screenings save lives. Atlantic’s Wellness Program encourages employees to perform preventative health exams to identify potential health issues early on, allowing for timely intervention and treatment. This helps make preventing and managing health concerns more straightforward for our workforce. Frank Brown discovered he had diabetes and prostate cancer through his participation in the Atlantic Wellness Incentive Program. This allowed him to take action in treating his conditions.
