Off the court, the Hawks organization focuses on positively impacting the lives of Atlantans through providing access to youth basketball, fighting food insecurity, and the recent transformation of State Farm Arena into Georgia’s largest-ever voting precinct for the 2020 elections. The Hawks family also includes the College Park Skyhawks (NBA G League) and Hawks Talon Gaming Club (NBA 2K League). On Saturday, we hosted our second annual She LEADS Women’s Empowerment Summit where we welcomed nearly 50 early-career women who have proven to be leaders within their careers and community. The Summit kicked off the season-long program that will bring together mentors and mentees who will participate in workshops and sessions aimed at equipping the women with the tools needed for their journey towards breaking down barriers, embracing their potential and stepping confidently into the leadership roles they deserve. The Summit featured panel discussions, sessions and dynamic fireside chats with powerhouse panelists across various industries with a focus on sports, entertainment, business and technology. Participants were charged with identifying ways to elevate their value authentically, understanding their influence and purpose to drive impact, and utilizing their power to dream without limits!
