Recently, our team in Iraq collaborated with the StartUP exchange program to host engineering students from 7 different universities across the country. Congratulations to the Production Solutions group and this next generation of engineers on a successful event. The students had the opportunity to explore our operations facility in Basra, gaining valuable insights into our artificial lift, completions, and well intervention workshops. Last week in Washington, D.C., members of our Government Affairs and Public Policy team had the privilege of hosting visiting delegation from Vietnam, led by Mr. Do Huu Huy, Vice Chairman of the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC), Dr. Trinh Viet Thang, Member of the Board of Directors at PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation, and Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Ngoc, Member of the Board of Directors, PETROVIETNAM Gas. Baker Hughes and PetroVietnam have worked closely together since 1997, when we first established our presence in Vietnam. During the visit, we presented our expertise in CCS and Enhanced Oil recovery (EOR)- key solutions for increasing efficiency and reducing emissions. With global energy demand on the rise, collaborating with governments to establish supportive energy policy is vital for sustainable development. Twice a year, the Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) hosts the Houston Energy Course in partnership with the U.S. Departments of State, Energy and Commerce, teaching foreign and civil service officers about the energy industry to inform their work in Washington, D.C. and U.S. embassies in various countries.
