The 48th Annual ASCE Awards and Installation We are pleased to announce that several BCC Engineering team members were honored over the weekend at the 48th Annual ASCE Miami-Dade Branch Installation and Awards Ceremony. Congratulations to Luis Ochotorena, E.I., and Yairen Sotolongo-Gabeiras, P.E., for being acknowledged for their leadership roles within their respective institutes. We also extend our congratulations to Kevin C. Roman, E.I., for earning the ASCE scholarship and being named Graduate Student of the Year.

Our Community Day benefit allows team members to dedicate time to charitable causes that resonate with them, fostering both personal growth and community well-being. Last week, our team, led by Keri-Ann Vickers, PE and Teresa Salazar, took part in a meaningful initiative, supporting the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM). Using their Community Day, BCC staff helped assemble relief packages for those affected by hurricane Beryl in Jamaica. This effort provided a valuable opportunity for us to contribute to a cause that holds personal significance for many on our team.

Proud to Continue Our Partnership with Chatham County BCC Georgia (H&L) is honored to have been selected by Chatham County to provide On Call Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services. Carlos Morales installed as FES 2024-2025 Treasurer Last week, the BCC Team attended the FES 2024-2025 New Officers Installation Dinner to support Carlos Morales in his appointment as Treasurer. The event featured valuable insights from DOT District Six Secretary Stacy L. Miller, P.E., and Director of Transportation Development Daniel Iglesias, P.E. Congratulations to Carlos on this well-deserved recognition!

At BCC, we believe in nurturing the next generation of engineers by engaging them early on. Our externship program, hosted at our Miami Headquarters, offers High School students a unique opportunity to explore the diverse realms of civil engineering. In addition to our Miami program, we also provided shadowing opportunities at our Marietta office, allowing early college students to witness the day-to-day operations of an engineering firm firsthand. Through these experiences, students gain valuable insights into what a career in engineering truly entails.
