Elford kicked off their partnership with an afternoon of service at Furniture with a Heart Thrift Store, benefiting the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio. The Elford team assembled furniture, organized donations, and more. Their efforts resulted in $875 of community impact, directly supporting families in need. Columbus City Council and the Franklin County Board of Commissioners have each committed $300,000–$600,000 combined–to Besa for 2024, helping us reach our goal of facilitating 2,300 volunteer experiences this year, up from 2,000 in 2023. “These investments from the city and county will make it possible for us to support thousands more neighbors across the community,” said Besa CEO Matthew Goldstein. “We know that civic engagement—particularly volunteerism—is key to a successful region, and we’re here to make engaging with the community easy and impactful so that ultimately, we all win.” We're grateful to partner with the city and county to amplify volunteerism, bring people together and make Columbus a kinder, more connected community.
