Just over a decade ago, BiggerPockets changed my life – before I ever joined the company. Inspired by the podcast, I introduced myself to the forums with an ambitious investing target.
At the time, I wanted to purchase my first three investment properties by the end of year. While I only purchased a single “house-hack” in 2014, I can vividly remember being greeted by a dozen BP Members, including someone who would later become my agent, selling me my first duplex “house-hack.” I met a lender and watched him become a major part of the BiggerPockets journey, financing many friends, colleagues, and community members. It’s been incredible to see my journey as just one of millions of similar stories that played a role in the making of BiggerPockets’ robust platform that’s grown in so many ways.
We’ve come a long way since then. Seven years ago, we set out on a one trillion dollar objective: to help create one million millionaires through real estate. And, we’ve made remarkable progress towards that goal. Earlier this year, we polled you, the BiggerPockets community, and found that 29% of our members are accredited investors—mostly via net worth. That’s an estimated 870,000 millionaires in this community.
