In the United States today, there is a systemic and entrenched lack of access to opportunity for African American fashion designers, retailers, and marketers. Specifically, there is no organization in existence today that provides Black Fashion Professionals sufficient access to higher education, capital, mentorship, the advice of business experts, advertising opportunities, and distributors. Black Fashion World Foundation ("BFW") addresses this problem by creating such access.

I, I have no words. We step forward then get kicked back. As the creator of a nonprofit specifically for the purpose of empowering African Americans in fashion when they are being denied because of the color of their skin I am infuriated. Somehow we will not be defeated in our efforts to advance our culture. Oftentimes what looks like a setback is a setup for bigger and a better comeback. God I am in expectation of the plot twist you have in place.
