California's UTK (universal transitional kindergarten) is important and necessary- we need more options for families. But we must be careful with the execution. Preschool-aged children are at developmentally different stages from elementary school children and require different inputs. Hastily applying the elementary school systems to an early education classroom will not provide the best outcomes for our youngest learners. There are many wonderful early education programs like Brella that understand this. Cities and states can and should look to these programs for broader support in these roll-outs. https://lnkd.in/gXWW2zNT
