Exciting Highlights from Life Cycle Industry Days (LCID) and Wright Industry Days (WID) BTAS recently attended the LCID and WID conferences, where industry leaders gathered to discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Great Power Competition (GPC). A key focus was the emerging challenges posed by global competitors. Secretary of the Air Force, Frank Kendall, emphasized the urgency for swift action and decision-making to maintain a competitive edge. Ms. Alexis Bonnell, Chief Information Officer at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), delivered an insightful presentation on AI, highlighting the necessity for the U.S. to lead in military AI advancements. She encouraged embracing AI as an integral part of our lives and future. The event was an incredible learning experience, offering fresh perspectives on our nation's future and the chance to connect with innovative minds from across the country. Last week, Sharon Bias (pictured on the lower right), BTAS Vice President of the Program Management Center of Excellence, had the distinct honor of serving on the AVA panel at Patuxent River. AVA is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit founded by Defense industry members to support warfighters. AVA assists transitioning military members, veterans, and spouses with job seeking. Their monthly networking event features an industry panel, where sponsors share job search tips, resume writing, interview techniques, and salary negotiation advice. These events help job seekers refine their elevator pitches and practice networking with industry representatives.
