We're proud to serve our 3rd year as an employer partner of the Information Technology Flexible Apprenticeship (ITFA) program by Columbus State Community College. Last week, Anjelo Pina and Margaret Riordan of our team were invited to appear as guest panelist to welcome and engage incoming ITFA students. They offered their experience with the ITFA program as ITFA students (current and former) and as an employer partner. They also provided advice to support students on their mission to landing a role in IT. This summer, Buckeye Innovation partnered with EDGE powered by MAGNET. Through their EDGE Fellows program, two college students served as Buckeye’s consultants for 10 weeks in an innovative internship program. They researched our industry, interviewed our clients, and ultimately outlined opportunities for our growth. We found our experience with the EDGE Fellows program to be insightful, enjoyable, and, most importantly- actionable. Our Website Acceleration Series, hosted by Columbus Small Business and Accelerate Columbus, helps Columbus-based small businesses to create and maintain an attractive, functional marketing website- for free! Last weekend, Buckeye Innovation hosted a water stop in Upper Arlington for the 2024 Pan Ohio Hope Ride! This is our third year as a sponsor for the event. Riders made their trek across Ohio in a four-day ride from Cleveland to Cincinnati to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Buckeye team was there to cheer them on and provide snacks and water to fuel them on their journey. We are so proud of our software engineer, Stacy McGrath, who serves as Event Chair of the Pan Ohio Hope Ride. Her efforts led to an outstanding fundraiser! The Hope Ride raised over $1 million this year with just under 300 participants! Congratulations to all the riders for their amazing work towards fighting cancer!
