Exciting news from northern Ghana! In partnership with DEUTSCHE GESELLSCHAFT FUR INTERNATIONALE ZUSAMMENARBEIT (GIZ) GmbH and Agriterra, Bunge is proud to launch The Women Shea Business Cooperative project, which is set to make a real impact on the livelihoods of 2,500 shea-collecting women. This 3.5-year initiative will create six business cooperatives, providing valuable opportunities for women in the region. Today we announced the sale of Bunge's 50% share in its sugar and bioenergy joint venture in Brazil to bp. The joint venture BP Bunge Bioenergia was formed in 2019 and combined both companies’ Brazilian bioenergy and sugarcane ethanol businesses with a total of 11 mills located across the Southeast, North and Midwest regions of Brazil. At closing, which is expected to happen in the fourth quarter of 2024, bp will own 100% of the business. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eS2N-P-B
