In a thick jungle just beyond the Belizean/ Guatemalan border, a team of our employees and partners found themselves navigating rugged terrain to map one of the largest cave systems in the world. During this six-day excursion, described as an "experience of a lifetime," the team camped under a canopy of trees filled with spider monkeys, bathed in cave pools, and woke to the sounds of parrots at sunrise. On this day 151 years ago, Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Newport, Oregon, was lit for the very first time. Standing 93 feet tall, the lighthouse has served as a bright beacon of the night, guiding ships and their crews along the West Coast for more than a century.
