Originating in Cairo's Souk AL-Tawfik marketplace, this flavorful dish quickly became a national favorite. Middle Eastern cuisine is a hit in Michigan, and Chef Brian's recipe, a nostalgic nod to his mom's family favorite, makes an excellent Grill Special. Yum! Speaking of yum, check out the pictures Chef Mike K. sent in from West Chester, PA of his unit's take on Chef Brian's dish. Fun fact: Chef Brian's favorite Olympic sport is football (a.k.a. soccer)!
