It was a fabulous kickoff to our 𝗖𝗔𝗜 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 in Los Angeles! 😊 As the first international president of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), I was thrilled to welcome fellow high-rise managers to this exclusive event. The workshop brings together community managers and management companies specializing in high-rise communities, providing a unique platform for knowledge exchange and networking and offering participants the chance to tour high-rise buildings from top to bottom. From rooftops to parking lots, we get to explore every aspect of these vertical communities, gaining practical knowledge along the way. 💡 On day 1, I had the honor of addressing the audience and sharing my journey in the development and management of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world. ⭐ On day 2, we had a great presentation on 'From Foundation to Façade: High-Rise Structural Integrity and Building Safety' delivered by Sandra Gottlieb, Esq., a CCAL fellow, and Abran Gonzalez, GC, CPE, CBI. 👏🏽 We also had the opportunity to visit and explore the nuts and bolts of the impressive Metropolis project in Downtown Los Angeles. This mixed-use development is a prime example of modern urban living and offers valuable insights for high-rise community managers. Spanning a full city block and consisting of four towers, the project includes three residential towers and one hotel tower, offering a total of 1,510 residential units. Special thanks to Cristian Radu, CMCA and Christine Borland for hosting the tours of the day, and to Airielle Hansford, CMCA, AMS, PCAM and Matthew Dorsch, PCAM, CPM, CMCA, AMS for their introductions and mixers. And thanks always to the CAI team, Tom Skiba, Vicki Santaniello, Carly Reid, CMP, CAE, Crystal Wallace, CAE and Phoebe E. Neseth, Esq. for the great organisation. 🙏🏽 Looking forward to the rest of the workshop! #WeAreCAI #CommunityManagement #ProfessionalDevelopment #HOA #CondoManagement #HighRise

In the wake of the assassination attempt on former President Trump last weekend, our nation finds itself in a state of reflection and concern. Such a terrible event underscores the need for unity starting at the local level: our communities. As community leaders, we have a responsibility and opportunity to lead communities toward greater unity and harmony. What can we do? What can you do? Let's play a part in the solution of uniting neighbors. #WeAreCAI #Unity #CommunityLiving #Neighbors
