The work is just beginning in California to put in place some relief and more needs to be done. Others are starting the journey across the country and in other countries around the world. It’s just a matter of time and effort before big tech will pay. Keep your eye on the Federal antitrust penalty phase and new civil litigation come down. Stay strong and don’t lose faith.

Yesterday we were notified that Sonoma Media Investments, LLC publications, including The Press Democrat, North Bay Business Journal, Petaluma Argus-Courier, The Sonoma Index-Tribune and The Sonoma County Gazette, are finalists for 88 awards in the California News Publishers Association Journalism Awards - including the coveted General Excellence and Public Service categories (as well as breaking news, photo, design, editorial writing and more). We are also a finalist in the newly created Sustainability category for our work with The Press Democrat Journalism Trust and expansion efforts into Napa County. While these awards are fantastic recognition for our entire team, the true winners are all of our readers and supporters of democracy and community journalism in the North Bay. #supportlocaljournalism
