When it comes to health care, Long Islanders have a choice. And a great many choose Catholic Health, an integrated health care system with deep roots in Long Island. We’re known for our rich heritage, founded in faith, serving the health care needs of our community for more than one hundred years. We’re known for delivering a quality patient experience that stands apart from other health care systems. We see patients and their families as human beings, with needs that go beyond the prescriptions and procedures. We listen and partner. At Catholic Health, we’re committed to creating an exceptional experience of comprehensive care by pairing our phenomenal clinical abilities with the emotional support of the home. It’s through this blend of comfort and confidence that we have an innate understanding of our community and deliver peace of mind to those we serve. This philosophy is backed by doctors, nurses, and medical professionals who are among the best in the country, for cardiology, oncology, orthopedic surgery, neuroscience, women’s health, pediatrics, and senior care. Catholic Health is a leader in complex care, from minimally invasive solutions to robotic surgery and the pinpoint accuracy of non-invasive stereotactic radiation therapy as well as ambulatory procedures that pre-empt the need for hospitalization. Beyond our hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers, Catholic Health members many hundreds of physician practices across Long Island and regional nursing service, helping you to stay on your personal path to optimal wellness. It’s easy to see why Catholic Health is the go-to health care system for so many Long Islanders. We’re here for you, body and soul. Our commitment is well-established, so we decided to shorten our name. Catholic Health Services of Long Island is now Catholic Health.

With summer ending, the Catholic Health Quality team recently said farewell to their Summer 2024 interns! 👋 Over the past few months, interns have been capturing value-based information, which will be used to close gaps in patient care. In recognition, interns were honored with a luncheon, gifts, and certificates. Due to the success of the summer intern program, the Quality team looks forward to more internship opportunities within the department. These opportunities will allow other interns to rotate and learn both the administrative and clinical sides of medicine. We wish our interns the best of luck in their future studies and careers!

#LivingAndWorkingtheMission | In her role as Clinical Quality Project Manager, Melissa Weinstein is passionate about inspiring her coworkers to set and achieve their professional goals, which in turn helps support Catholic Health's mission. Melissa is a prime example of career advancement, starting at St. Charles Hospital as a Clinical Educator in 2005, being promoted to the Director of Nursing Education & Research for both St. Charles Hospital and St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in 2020, and eventually transitioning into Quality Management as a Clinical RN Project Manager for Catholic Health in 2022. Since then, she has been able to focus on key system-wide initiatives such as readmission reduction and continual improvement in patient care. “Throughout each transition, I have been surrounded by leaders and colleagues who shared their expertise, integrating my insight and skill, and demonstrating a genuine interest in acclimating me to a changing landscape of healthcare delivery, where empathy, quality and safety are always the priority," she says. 👉 Find your next role at Catholic Health today: https://bit.ly/43Sc0Js
