2023 Earthshot Prize Finalist on a mission to protect the planet from the cost of clothing. At Circ, we’ve created a technology system that returns clothes to the raw materials from which they were made. Again and again. Brand partners like Patagonia, Marubeni, and Fashion For Good are joining us in our goal of turning wasteful fashion lines into renewable fashion circles. By 2030, we expect to have recycled 10 billion garments, represent 10% of the global apparel market, and to have saved more than 100 million trees. As our ecology and economy grow evermore entwined, it is clear to us that the world already has all the clothing it needs to create all the clothing it will ever need.     We’re thrilled to unveil our second collection in collaboration with Zara Woman – crafted by the #Zara design team and fabric mill, Tessilgodi, using only 100% Circ® Lyocell (derived from 50% recycled textile waste). The drapey, lightweight material beautifully showcases a clean silhouette without the use of any additional embellishments to create a natural look and feel while the elevated, modern designs are a testament to Circ® Lyocell’s duality – proving garments made with recycled materials can be stylish and timeless. We are proud to continue our efforts with Zara as we work collectively toward achieving a scalable model for circularity in the #fashionindustry using Circ’s advanced textile-to-textile recycling technology to recycle polycotton blended fabric into new materials.     As Circ® continues to grow and evolve as a company, the people who are the literal lifeblood of Circ continue to grow and evolve, too. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Teresa Krug – who joined us two years ago as Senior Vice President of Innovation – has been named Circ's Chief Product Officer. This appointment marks a pivotal step in our journey as we progress from being an innovation company to a more product-driven organization. In her time at Circ, Teresa has made a massive impact by focusing on growth – for our company, for members of her team, and for herself. And now, as Chief Product Officer, she’ll seek to grow a new discipline for us, utilizing her 30+ years of experience in R&D and product development together with focused scientific rigor to deliver the products that meet market and business demands. We couldn’t be happier and more excited for Teresa, and we can’t wait to see what she does next to help propel us in our continuing mission to create a more circular world. Congratulations, Teresa!

    The beautiful continuation of a journey toward circularity in the fashion industry✨ When we first launched a women’s collection with Zara, in 2023, it marked not only the first time Circ® materials were available to shoppers but also the first-ever public launch of garments made with recycled polyester and lyocell derived from the separation of polycotton textile waste (fun fact: we’re the only company in the world to demonstrate this). With this latest collaboration, we are proud to continue our partnership with #Zara to further our mutual commitment toward achieving a scalable model for circularity in the #fashionindustry.     Zara and Circ® are coming full circle with their second tie up. Following their first collaboration last spring, the high street retailer and the textile technology company are launching their second capsule collection, which drops Thursday. The new pieces are completely made from Circ Lyocell, which is sourced from 50 percent recycled poly-cotton textile waste, and 50 percent FSC-certified wood pulp. Its patented process separates the natural and synthetic material blend. This time around Circ worked with high-end Italian mills on the textile; the Zara design team wanted to elevate the new iteration and play with it in new ways. The result is a series of more architectural looks, including a structured minidress, an long dress with an open-back looped top and pencil skirt among the lineup.     In the space of Textile Innovation knowledge is constantly evolving and focus on different innovations can be shifting accordingly. As a start-up being resilient and flexible is key, but what the Next-Gen players need the most in order to survive and thrive is collaboration 🤲. Future Fabrics Expo organized by The Sustainable Angle creates this collaborative space, connecting and promoting innovators and suppliers of sustainable materials with fashion brands. The materials showcased at the Future Fabrics Expo are all curated to pass eco-standards and accompanied by educational background information, as well as seminars and workshops. We were happy to be part of it over a month ago, together with our Next-Gen partner Circ®, innovator in textile-to-textile recycling. For the ones who could not make it, here's a peak.
