    Citizens Bank is proud to announce the promotion of Aaron Brooks to the valued position of Chief Credit Officer. In his new role, Brooks will lead the bank's credit risk management efforts, overseeing credit underwriting, portfolio management, and ensuring adherence to lending policies and regulations. “We are delighted to recognize Aaron's outstanding contributions and promote him to the role of Chief Credit Officer. His extensive experience, strategic acumen, and dedication to maintaining the highest standards of credit risk management make him the ideal leader for this crucial function, “said Kevin Jessee, CEO of Citizens Bank. Brooks joined Citizens Bank in 2019 as senior vice president of Commercial Banking, bringing with him extensive commercial lending expertise and a comprehensive knowledge of credit underwriting. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including consumer lender, branch manager, and commercial portfolio manager in the Tri-Cities and Knoxville area. Aaron completed his bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Tennessee in 1992, and in 2000 he graduated from LSU’s Graduate School of Banking. He resides in Bristol with his wife, Allison, and their two children, Gracie, and Landon. Please join us in congratulating Aaron Brooks on his well-deserved promotion to Chief Credit Officer.     Citizens Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Jennifer Whaley to Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. With her extensive experience and expertise, Whaley assumes a key leadership role within the organization. Whaley, a graduate of King University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Economics, specialized in Accounting. She furthered her education at East Tennessee State University, earning a Master of Accountancy degree. With a background in public accounting and holding a CPA license, Whaley joined Citizens Bank in June 2017 as Vice President, Risk Management & Senior Accounting Officer. In addition to her professional achievements, Whaley is an active member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, serving on the Financial Institutions Conference Planning Committee. She resides in Elizabethton with her husband David and their two children and is involved in community service as a children's ministry leader at Hunter First Baptist Church where she has also served on the Finance Committee for several years.     The Citizens Bank Board of Directors, Chairman Joe LaPorte III and CEO Kevin Jessee, proudly announce Mr. Scott Greer as the President and COO of Citizens Bank. Scott epitomizes excellence in financial leadership and strategic management. Scott is a 2002 alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado and a 1992 graduate of the Tennessee School of Banking at Vanderbilt. He is a CPA and graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1985. As a member of AICPA and TSCPA, he currently serves on the TSCPA Council and has previously chaired the TSCPA Financial Institutions Committee. He has additionally served on committees of the Tennessee Bankers Associates (TBA). Active in his community, Scott serves on the Northeast State Community College Foundation board, is a Johnson City Kiwanis Club past-president and George Hixson Fellow and member of Grace Fellowship Church. He enjoys hiking, and camping, as well as U.T. and ETSU sports. He has been married to his wife, RoseMary, for 39 years, and together they have two children and two grandchildren.
