May is Mental Health Month, a time when we shine a light on the importance of acknowledging and nurturing our mental well-being. At Goodpath, we understand that mental health isn't one-size-fits-all. Different individuals will resonate with different methods. One valuable tool we recommend to our members for managing stress, anxiety, and even physical conditions like pain or insomnia is journaling. ✍️ Journaling can serve as a powerful way to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, providing insight and clarity. To help you get started with or to enrich your existing practice, here are 5 journal prompts we suggest: 1) What are three things that make you feel like yourself? This prompt encourages you to reflect on the activities, relationships, or environments that align with your sense of identity and well-being. 2) Write about a time you felt at ease. What helped contribute to that sense of ease? Identifying situations or settings where you've felt at peace can help uncover patterns or elements that contribute positively to your mental health. 3) Reflect on a challenge you have overcome and what you learned from it. Challenges and how we overcome them shape our resilience. Writing about these experiences can foster a sense of achievement and personal growth. 4) List three things you are grateful for today and why they matter to you. Gratitude journaling has been linked to improved mental health by shifting focus from problems or negative experiences to positive aspects of life. 5) Consider an aspect of your life you typically view negatively. Can you identify any positives or lessons learned from this? This prompt invites a shift in perspective, encouraging a more balanced view of difficulties and recognizing potential growth opportunities within them. Remember, journaling is just one of many tools available to support your mental health. This Mental Health Month, we encourage you to try journaling as a way to deepen your understanding of yourself and your needs. ✨

Clarity Pediatrics has raised $10M in seed funding! Clarity was founded to improve care for more than 25 million children with common chronic conditions. Our first condition is ADHD, and through our virtual clinic we provide diagnosis, therapy and medication - all in one place, without waitlists, and with commercial and Medicaid coverage. Today, I’m thrilled to share that we have treated thousands of children with ADHD, partnered with hundreds of pediatricians, and we accept over a dozen plans in CA. For over a decade, my cofounder Alesandro Larrazabal, M.D. and I considered how to make our mark on pediatric health. In 2021, we began to focus on the wave of needs stemming from the rise of pediatric chronic care. What he saw in medicine was a pediatric system broken by the dramatic rise in prevalence of ADHD, obesity, asthma, allergies and more. Pediatricians tirelessly do their best without the right tools and resources to deliver standard of care. As a tech executive and a mom, I saw families piecing together care the best they could, often with kids falling behind and families in despair. We saw so much opportunity to standardize excellent care, drive collaboration, and build an accessible platform laser focused on making all kids healthier.
