IDAHO: Since launching Merry Maids East Idaho, owner Dan Sheets has heard one of his clients say she’s a better mom because she has more time to spend with her kids. Several older clients enjoy the cleaners’ company. Hearing these types of reactions are what make the job rewarding for Sheets. He also enjoys giving back by providing free house-cleaning services to cancer patients with the help of a nonprofit called Cleaning For a Reason. “In our first month of operation, we’ve visited two cancer patients and provided free house-cleaning services to help them during this difficult time,” says Sheets. “We also donated a number of cleanings to veterans organizations, as well as the Bonneville County Fire Department. MONTANA: Since 2022, Bozeman 5 Star Cleaning has supported 10 cancer patients with donated cleanings valued at $6,805. Shared owner Katie Manzanares, “Cancer has been a large part of our family history. Our family knows firsthand the stresses that come along with treatment and healing. When presented the opportunity to join Cleaning for a Reason, I had no hesitation. The team is just as thrilled to serve cancer households in our community so that these families can focus on their own healing journey. FLORIDA: Two Maids announced today the opening of its newest location in The Villages, Florida. This new establishment, owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team Jeff and Kim Burg, will deliver cleaning services to The Villages and its neighboring communities, including Leesburg, Wildwood, Lady Lake, and Tavares. The Burgs plan to collaborate with Cleaning for a Reason, reflecting their commitment to supporting the community by assisting cancer patients in need.
