Council of New Jersey State College Locals - AFT/AFL-CIO

The Council of New Jersey State College Locals (CNJSCL) AFT/AFL-CIO is a union that represents faculty, professional staff, and librarians across nine colleges and universities in New Jersey. Serving roughly 10,000 members, CNJSCL is dedicated to protecting wages and enhancing working conditions through contract negotiations, grievance processing, and managing arbitrations. We champion fairness, economic opportunity, and transparency—advancing these tenets through collective bargaining. Our mission is to enhance public higher education in the state of New Jersey by protecting and supporting university employees. The colleges and universities we represent: Kean University, Montclair State University, Stockton University, The College of New Jersey, Ramapo College of New Jersey, Rowan University, William Patterson University, Thomas Edison State University, and New Jersey City University.
