Last month at the KC Chairpersons' Recognition Luncheon, Community Blood Center celebrated Drive Chairpersons and Platelet Donors going above and beyond to support blood and platelet donation in Kansas City. The "You Mean the World to Us" awards were presented to 14 community organizations for their outstanding commitment and achievements in hosting successful blood drives. Meanwhile, top platelet donors, ranging from 200-599+ lifetime donations were honored for their incredible lifesaving efforts. The efforts and commitment of everyone in attendance have been instrumental in recovering the blood supply from COVID, recruiting first-time donors, and ultimately, saving lives.
