We have a great time making spots for Fanatics and this year's is extra cool for us. When we make Championship spots for the National Basketball Association (NBA) ( and other leagues) we shoot several commercials. We make a version for every team that could become the Champs. This year we shot spots for 4 NBA teams - and though we remain unbiased during the process, it may be impossible to be completely unbiased once the spots are done and we're watching for who wins:). Being who we are - we are stoked that our home team the Boston Celtics won this year. Thank you Marc Lu, Anthony Mejia, Cameron Scott, Chris Larson and the whole team at Fanatics and the NBA for another great collaboration. Who wants a peek behind the curtain? Our recent shoot with Frameology was a blast and we thought it would be fun to share how we framed this spot for success—from the moment we started thinking, right through to our finished deliverables hitting multiple digital channels. And for all of you awesome creatives that follow us, what’s your favorite part of the process?

600+ million viewers. 40 countries. 29 languages. 0 AI. This campaign just launched and we’re already feeling nostalgic. As we adjust our business practices and methodologies to meet the wave of AI tech and integration that is crashing all around us, we realized this job may have been one of our last “AI-free” projects. A little before the new year, Fanatics asked us to help them with a “quick turnaround” project, focusing on producing commercials for the UEFA Champions League Tournament. Within about 14 weeks, our team of humans conceptualized, shot, and edited commercials for delivery in 29 languages, tailored for 40 countries with unique edits and formats to meet various specific airing requirements. It was an exercise in the planning, communication, and execution that we love. We met and collaborated with talent and technicians all over the world to make this happen. It makes us a little sad that some of this may go away—that AI might replace some of the human talent it takes to make this happen. We may lose some of the excitement and challenge that comes from collaboration with people. Don’t get us wrong, AI is cool and all, and we’re adopting it to make ourselves more efficient—giving our clients new options and advantages in the marketplace. But lately we already find ourselves longing for the good old days—and by good old days we mean 4 weeks ago. Thank you #Fanatics #UEFA.
