Sally Rosen, Community Manager at Meadowview at Clifton Park, attests to the significance of these amenities, particularly for our 55+ demographic undergoing post-surgical rehabilitation. Having onsite fitness centers enables residents to conveniently engage in physical therapy within their living environment, alleviating the need for external travel. “I know a handful of residents who have broken bones, had hip replacements, knee surgeries, etc., and have been immensely grateful that we have the equipment for them to utilize to get back to being active and healing,” Sally says grateful to provide these services to her residents. Conifer could not be prouder to announce the promotion of Lisa Kaseman to Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisitions. Lisa's tenure began nearly 20 years ago when she joined Conifer as our first intern in 2006. Her path to leadership comes as no surprise to the Conifer team, as she has continuously demonstrated her dedication and commitment to our mission and residents. Lisa credits the relationships she fostered and the mentorship she received for her successful progression within the company, highlighting the valuable skills she learned from each individual she has worked with over the years. Lisa encourages emerging leaders to use their connections as opportunities to learn and grow, reminding us that the pursuit of knowledge and the drive to improve are key components of success at Conifer. “My advice to any individual is to find people who excel in their field and ask as many questions as possible, said Lisa. “People are eager to share their knowledge, especially with those who want to learn.” Lisa's initial experience in property development was characterized by its fast-paced environment. She quickly learned the importance of work prioritization, but more importantly, realized that “doing good is more important than striving for perfection." Her ability to rationalize and see past flaws enables her to effectively leverage the expertise of her team, contributing to her continual success at Conifer. Last week, Conifer had the pleasure of hosting the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester for a Career Exploration Day. The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester offers a supportive and engaging environment where kids can develop into their best selves. Their mission is to "inspire and enable young people from all backgrounds to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens through empowering youth programs." During their visit, Conifer had the chance to showcase our work and its impact on our communities. The group toured two of our Rochester communities, Andrews Terrace and 200 East Ave, where they heard from panelists about their experiences with Conifer, the importance of affordable housing, and how our residents are central to our mission.
