It's a huge hockey weekend in the New England region. The NCAA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Championship will be hosted for the fourth time at the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire, from March 22–24, and 157 miles to the southeast, the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship will take place at Koeppel Community Center on the campus of Trinity College-Hartford. Fumi Kimura, deputy athletic director at the University of New Hampshire and Bob Murdock, president of CTMEETINGS | Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau, explained why it's an important weekend for hockey in the Northeast.

It's a huge sports weekend in the New England region as three states will host major sporting events from March 21–24. Hartford and CTMEETINGS | Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau will host the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship; the NCAA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Championships take place at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and the US Biathlon National Championships will be at Fort Kent Outdoor Center in Maine.

After two amazing weekends earlier this month, our 4th annual AAU Volleyball Grand Prix is in the books. We are honored to have hosted 500 talented teams from throughout the Northeast to compete at two of the finest facilities in the region. I want to thank both the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Resort Casino for their hospitality, as well as for their world-class accommodations that were enjoyed by both our attendees and staff. It truly is a unique experience both on and off the court. I also want to thank CTMEETINGS | Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau for their continued support of NEAAU Volleyball as we grow this event and help contribute to the rise of volleyball in the region.
